003. The Disappearing Toothpick Trick

To perform the disappearing toothpick trick, you will need... 

• A piece of tape (about the width of your thumb).

• A toothpick.



First, tape the toothpick flat against the top of your thumb.
(Be careful not to tape it around the sides of your thumb!)



How the trick is done:  Have the toothpick in your hand, just like 3rd photo shows.



With the hand that is not holding the toothpick, wave it around the toothpick.



Quickly open your hand and say, "it disappeared!".
The toothpick taped to the top and back of your thumb won't be seen from the front.



 Then say, "wait a second, it's floating over your head!", jump up and pretend to catch it.



Finally, show that it is back in your hand!
